New York, April 18, 2023 – Lightbox, a leader in digital out-of-home video, announces a strategic partnership with Monster XP, a leader in digital and experiential activations, to bolster its burgeoning window front media product. Already a dominant media owner in retail destinations, Lightbox’s window front asset continues to propel the brand’s expansion into urban locations with street-level inventory in New York City, Los Angeles and other major markets. This partnership leverages Lightbox’s sales reach with Monster XP’s operational expertise to deliver a best-in-class media product.

Launched in 2021, Lightbox’s window front media employs LED panels to create massive video displays that overtake commercial real estate facades. In this partnership, Lightbox will lead sales efforts, while Monster XP will serve as the managed service partner for the hardware, installation and maintenance of window front campaigns. Monster XP’s extensive experience with interactive digital solutions will also be leveraged for custom advertising executions. Monster XP will input on Lightbox Studios’ creative ideas and service all back-end tech and functionality. Lightbox Brings Texas Tourism to Life Through AR

With Immersive Trip Builder and 360° Experience

New York, August 26, 2022 – Lightbox, a leader in digital out-of-home video, has partnered with Travel Texas to drive tourism to the Lone Star State through a custom augmented
reality (AR) experience. 

Activated from Lightbox’s nationwide digital video screens, audiences are “stepping into Texas” by entering virtual portals that immerse them in various real-world destinations via 360° sights and sounds – from mouth-watering BBQ joints, to vast caverns, to breathtaking mountain vistas. The campaign is currently live in malls across the U.S., prompting users to scan an on-screen QR code with their mobile devices to activate the experience. From there, users personalize their itineraries through a trip builder stage before placing portals in their in-person environments. After tapping to enter, users are transported to their selected locales with options to learn more or share to social platforms.

Lightbox Studios custom-built the experience by capturing and editing 360° footage from over a dozen Texas locations, constructing a multi-layered questionnaire, producing voice-over and designing 3D assets. London-based and leading AR studio Zappar wrapped it all within a bespoke web app.

Digital out-of-home companies, like Lightbox, are leveraging AR to converge digital and physical spaces for consumers in high-traffic settings. Deal Strengthens Market Position for Both Companies Across North America

New York, NY – Lightbox OOH Video Network, a leading digital out-of-home media company, announced an acquisition by Cattri, a leading out-of-home technology company based in Mexico City. The deal, backed by PC Capital, a Mexican private equity firm specializing in growth equity investments, and Altum Capital, a Mexico City-based private credit fund, positions Cattri to gain entry into the U.S. market through Lightbox’s digital video dominance in shopping and lifestyle centers across the country.

After a successful rebrand and record revenues in 2019, Lightbox continued the momentum into 2020 with triple-digit revenue growth to start the year. Forced retail closures and stay-at-home orders from the global COVID-19 pandemic put the momentum on hold, driving the company to seek investment.

As part of the transaction, Lightbox received significant growth capital which will be used to strengthen its position as a national video advertising network through product enhancements, technology, and expansion.

His success in building teams and capturing share was also applied at Pandora, where he grew the Chicago sales office from two to 75 over his four-year tenure. 

Of his move to Lightbox, Mr. Negron states “The broadcast-heavy Midwest market is in need of alternate channels to distribute video advertising. I’m excited to work with the Lightbox team to bring its powerful message of video at scale to the clients and agencies in this region.”

Lightbox CEO Greg Glenday will reunite with Mr. Negron after working together at Undertone, a premium Digital Ad Network. “We are currently in the middle of an extended streak of meaningful revenue growth at Lightbox, and we are keeping our foot on the accelerator by hiring fantastic talent like Chris. I really enjoyed working with Chris because he’s an excellent sales leader who consistently delivers results, builds cohesive teams, and does it all with an eye toward a positive culture and fun.  I am thrilled to be on the same team with him again.”

Mr. Negron will be based in the Chicago office, and will report to Lightbox EVP, Chief Revenue Officer Eric Steinert, who is based in New York.  Mr. Steinert notes “I’m excited to have Chris on board during this time of tremendous transformation in the digital OOH space, which is increasingly defined by connectivity, addressability and measurement, and in the case of Lightbox audio-enabled video.  His background is ideally suited to drive our business forward in the Central Region.”
